Into the Archives 35~Airport Family Reunion

10/27/2011
Here are lots of people sitting in the airport.
They happen to be aunts, uncles, cousins etc from my moms side.
This picture was a particular tricky one to find information about. I think I might have a very vague memory about being there but who knows. After emailing a few of the people in this picture, aunt Kari was the one that remembered the details. This is what uncle Allen sent in response:

"Well Kari has a memory of steel…

She remembers this was in February just before Valentine’s Day. Carol was flying to or from California and had a brief layover in SLC. Since there wasn’t enough time to go to Nanna’s house for a visit, we all came to the airport and had a brief reunion. We had the great BK meal for the party.

You can tell it was pre 911 since we are at the gate."

I thought that last part was a pretty funny observation.

Into the Archives 34~School Time

10/20/2011

This is my kind of homework style. Yes. Hat and all. At least back in 2003.
Now a-days I prefer sitting on my bed with the iPad when possible.

This is really random but look at the time I scheduled/posted this post. There is a reason for the time. The school year starts in August (08) and ends in May (05). I do something like this with most of my posts. You know. Just in case you want a puzzle to figure out.

New! New! New!

Blogging might be addicting. Its a possibility. Here is a clue. I have two new blogs. This first one I have had for a few months but won't be updated all that often. The second one should be updated about every day or so-ish.  The food one is more for my personal purposes but I still want to share. The second it to share with everyone. To understand fully what they are about just read the first posts on each blog.

Into the Archives 33~Tractor Time

10/13/2011

I haven't driven a car yet (yeah yeah I'm working on that...). But that doesn't matter. I have a tractor! Yup. Been drivin' it since I was 12 and don't plan to stop. My siblings are kind of jealous. But it's not like they won't have their turn. Oh wait. KEW started driving it this summer. Aw man I have to share now. Just look at his face. Little stinker. And this was taken back in 2007 when he was 8! But it's not all fun and games. It also involves mowing all 3.74 acres of yard...eh but it's worth it.

Our Favorite Plague

In seminary this year we are learning about the Old Testament. Currently we are talking about Moses and the whole plague thing. The other day Brother Norton had all of us split up into small groups of 3 or 4 and fill out a paper about the 9 plagues (it didn't include the last one about dieing firstborns) and also draw our "favorite" plague. When our team figured out that our favorite plague (if you think about it, that really is a hard decision seeing as we wouldn't want to go through any of them) and I volunteered to draw. We decided on the frog plague.

And if thou refuse to let them go, behold, I will smite all thy borders with frogs:
And the river shall bring forth frogs abundantly, which shall go up and come into thine house, and into thy bedchamber, and upon thy bed, and into the house of thy servants, and upon thy people, and into thine ovens, and into thy kneadingtroughs:
And the frogs shall come up both on thee, and upon thy people, and upon all thy servants.
5 And the Lord spake unto Moses, Say unto Aaron, Stretch forth thine hand with thy rod over the streams, over the rivers, and over the ponds, and cause frogs to come up upon the land of Egypt.
And Aaron stretched out his hand over the waters of Egypt; and the frogs came up, and covered the land of Egypt.

My drawing became the laughing matter of the day. I could hardly finish it because we were laughing so hard. A bit dorky eh?

Into the Archives 32~Oh Brother!

10/6/2011

Great pictures of my brothers and I between 2005-2006. It's kind of a coincidence that I was wearing the same shirt in two of the pictures.

The highlight of my childhood was making my brother laugh so hard that food came out his nose.

Scripture Power Kiddie Style

I love it when little kids tell stories. Well OK so who doesn't? Kid History anyone?!?  Ta-da! You are in luck. I found these cute videos about kids and their scripture stories. There are many, many great little Sunday videos out there. I'm just getting started! Not that you need to watch anymore TV today. That many hours of General Conference can be tiring. No matter. You should watch these anyway.
