Into the Archives 35~Airport Family Reunion

10/27/2011
Here are lots of people sitting in the airport.
They happen to be aunts, uncles, cousins etc from my moms side.
This picture was a particular tricky one to find information about. I think I might have a very vague memory about being there but who knows. After emailing a few of the people in this picture, aunt Kari was the one that remembered the details. This is what uncle Allen sent in response:

"Well Kari has a memory of steel…

She remembers this was in February just before Valentine’s Day. Carol was flying to or from California and had a brief layover in SLC. Since there wasn’t enough time to go to Nanna’s house for a visit, we all came to the airport and had a brief reunion. We had the great BK meal for the party.

You can tell it was pre 911 since we are at the gate."

I thought that last part was a pretty funny observation.

Easy Boredom Buster

My cousin* Anna (who lives in my ward) and I were board the other day. So we did a little brainstorming. I had a video camera and she had a mic, a kitchen and random food items. This is what we came up with:

*Well more like a second or distant cousin or something like that...I can never remember.

Into the Archives-26

8/25/2011

July 2008 we went to Minnesota for my cousin Ashli's baptism. We spent most of our time at their grandparents cabin's that are right on lake McKenzie. The baptism was done in the lake because the font in the church building was broken. We were there for the 4th of July which was so fun because we went to another lake that had a beach and watched all the fireworks that were everywhere.

The best part of going to the lake is going tubing. It's like going on a roller coaster except on water...and you can fall off. You have to hold on for dear life so after a day on the lake my arms were very sore.
And this is the whole Webster clan!

Into the Archives-17

6/23/2011

Some of the Briathwaite cousins in 2007.
I'm the one in the orange shirt.
I love all my cousins (I have already done 2 other ITA posts about some of them) and the 20 hour drive is worth it if I see them enough while I'm there. My cousin Andrew was getting married so we were there for a few weeks. That was a fun time!
(We found out that week that my dad was being called into the Bishopric. We weren't even there that Sunday when he was called!)

Into the Archives-2

Its "Into the Archives Thursday"!
3/10/2011

Since I did a picture of some of my Webster cousins last week, I decided to do something from the Braithwaite side (mom's side). I'm pretty sure this picture was take in July 2003 (maybe even possibly on the 28th if the date on the picture is correct). All of the cousins were visiting Nana, who lives in Utah.

Zachary, KEW, Me and Lexi
Here I am with the Reinstein cousins and my brother KEW. I have fond memories of this day.
I remember that one of us had the great idea of running a lemonade stand. So we went up to Nana's art area and found plenty of paper and coloring supplies and made a great sign.
Next we went to her freezer and pulled out some of her frozen lemonade and put it in a large measuring cup. Then we brought out her plastic toy organizer and put it at the end of the driveway, taped the sign to it and set the lemonade on top and decorated the ground around it with pine cones. And we waited.
We waited through the heat. We waited some more. Then our first costumer...sort of. She said that she would come back later and get some. (she never did) It was so hot that we brought it back into the shade. We did end up with a few costumers! In fact there was one time that so many people came that we had to go raid Nana's freezer again!
This was so long ago (at least it feels like it) that I find it funny that I remember it in detail. I think we ended up using all of Nana's lemonade. But in the end I know we some had money. I don't know how much. I don't know who got it. I just remember we had fun sitting in the heat and getting excited over costumers.
Want to see more pictures of this fun adventure???

Into the Archives-1

I have decided to do an "Into the Archives Thursday". Random day I know. But I couldn't wait and there really was no point in waiting. So, every Thursday I will post a picture (or possibly a movie if I'm feeling like it) from my past. It has to be at least 2 years old...but the older the better right? I will also explain the picture in detail to the bet of my abilities.

 3/32011

Today I have picked a picture of a few of my Webster cousins...and Grandpa. I believe it was taken sometime in 2002. We were visiting our Grandparents in Ohio. Here we are in the living room...posing for a picture I suppose. Though its slightly comical.
From top to bottom: my cousin Kyle, me and my cousin Ashli. And over in the corner is Grandpa.
