Into the Archives 68-Swing Flip

One of my many secret talents is that I can do a flip off a swing. Actually, I'm not sure if I can anymore. Back in 2010 I could though.

Into the Archives 60-Silly Kids

I kind of forgot to post an ITA last week. Whoops. Anyway, just your typical sibling picture. It was taken at our dear friend, sister Allred's house after dinner. We always love dinner with her. Don't forget her famous rolls!

Into the Archives 58-Magazine

Once upon a time, I was famous. Well, sort of. Back when I volunteered at Lakeside Nature Center monthly, I was one of the most frequent volunteers there. So, one day I got a phone call asking if I'd like to be in a magazine photo shoot for Nature's Garden, featuring several of the staff and volunteers at the nature center. Of course I said yes.
It was a nice spring day as we went about our normal volunteer jobs cleaning cages and feeding the animals while a photographer and journalist followed us around. One of the jobs I did was clean out the litter box for the rabbits. I couldn't decide if I wanted that picture in the magazine or not. Once the jobs were done, we went outside with a couple of the baby opossums that were being raised there at the time. I got to be one of the kids who got to hold one and that is the picture that appeared in the magazine! Nearly a year passed and the magazine finally came in the mail some time in the spring of 2010.

Into the Archives 56-Handshake

My little sis and I have had a "secret" handshake since she was a tiny tot. Today the world can see it recorded from back in 2010 with an extra routine at the end.

Into the Archives 50-KC Temple

50 ITAs! In honor of the big round number, I want to make a special post.

I remember that day on October 4th, 2008, when I heard cheering from my living room. General Conference had obviously started but no one had told me. When I heard cheering I knew that could mean only one thing.  I ran out to the living room and sure enough, we were getting a temple in KC.

On May 8th, 2010, ground was broken for the Kansas City Missouri Temple. May 5th, 2012, I participated in the cultural celebration the day before the temple was dedicated. I made plenty of posts about the temple open house and celebration (see them all here and here) but I want to highlight some of my favorite pictures.

Volleyball Doom

So I was looking through my Young Women pictures from last year and I found this one. Its from stake YW volleyball. I have no idea what was going through my mind when this picture was taken. (No the ball wasn't photoshopped in or anything) I laugh every time I see it. So I thought I'd edit it and add captions. I don't know about you, but I think they are pretty funny.

My Big (Movie) Projects of 2010

I have recently done some movie making, or really more like extra long slideshow-putting-together-ing. The first one is of my YW activities in 2010. The second one is of the stake youth pioneer trek 2010. They may be long and boring to you but I wanted to post something that I have done, not about other things that really have nothing directly related to me. So here they are!
